In a remarkable display of generosity, the Lekan Adewoye Foundation (LAF) empowered over 2,000 beneficiaries from Kwara South communities with various resources aimed at fostering economic growth and alleviating struggles.
Representing the executive governor of Kwara State, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Yakub Danlad, praised the Lekan Adewoye Foundation for its mega empowerment initiative, emphasizing the importance of empowering people in the administration’s agenda.
He urged beneficiaries not to sell the equipment provided and called on politicians to emulate the foundation’s noble gesture for the betterment of citizens.
Speaking at the event, the Founder of LAF, Prince Lekan Adewoye, highlighted the foundation’s mission to empower and transform people, emphasizing the collective responsibility to improve lives. He underscored the importance of giving back to the community for societal progress.
The event, held at the open field of Arandun Primary School, witnessed the distribution of empowerment items such as sewing machines, air dryers, grinding machines, food items, and cash support.
Expressing their heartfelt gratitude, beneficiaries lauded the foundation for its kindness and generosity, acknowledging that the resources provided would significantly improve their lives and enable them to become self-sufficient.
In attendance at the event was the Paramount King of Ajase IPO and chairman of the Igbomina traditional council, Oba Ismail Yahaya Alebiosu, who commended the foundation for its commitment to helping those in need. He urged beneficiaries to utilize the opportunity wisely.
Dignitaries from various political parties, including the Kwara State APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, and representatives from KWAHA, APC, and PDP, graced the occasion, underscoring the significance of the Lekan Adewoye Foundation’s initiative in driving positive change.
