The Chairman, Board of Trustees, Sobi FM Ilorin, Alhaji Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha (LOM) has described the deaths of two eminent son and draughter of Ilorin Emirate, the Vice-chancellor (VC) of Kwara State University (KWASU), Professor Muhammed Akanbi (SAN), and Honourable Justice Titi Daibu, as, sudden, tragic and untimely.

LOM in a statement, made available by the media team of his political movement, “the Rebirth Ambassadors”, in Ilorin today described the deaths of the two prominent Emirati as a colossal loss to, Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State and Nigeria at large, saying the two who gentlemen of the Bar, and the Bench respectively, died at a time their services are most needed by their society.

While Professor Akanbi died on Sunday as a result of a brief illness, Honourable Justice Daibu died on Monday this week, they have both been buried in accordance with Islamic injunctions.

He therefore, pray that the Almighty Allah receives their souls, and grant them Aljanah Fridaus, while also granting their immediate family, friends, and the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu Gambari, the fortitude to bear the irreparable losses.
