A Magistrate court sitting in Ilorin, has remanded a 21 year old man, Idris Buji, who allegedly robbed a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), Emmanuel Johnson at Moro bridge, Oko Olowo area of the state.
Police report disclosed that the CSP, serving at the Police Headquarters, Kwara command, was robbed by seven fully armed men with AK47 riffles who emerged from the bush.
According to the report, they forcefully stopped his car, dragged him out collected his service Barreta pistol containing six rounds of live ammunition, cash sum of fifty thousand naira, suitcase, one laptop and an android phone.
His phone was tracked and recovered from the defendant (Buji) at Fulani camp, via Obajana town, Kogi State.
The prosecutor, Zacchaeus Folorunsho, urged the court to grant prayers contained in the motion exparte attached to the police report and order the defendant remand.
