The Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN), has inducted 10 pioneer qualified medical laboratory scientists from the faith based Al hikmah University Ilorin.
The Registrar of the council Dr. Tosan Erhabor, while congratulating the university for achieving the feat of graduating it’s first set said the strides made by the university would boost the profile of the medical laboratory science programme.
Dr. Erhabor, who was represented by Prof. Olayanju Dickson, advocated for the training of more personnel in the health sector to meet the needs of the nation.
The registrar said more should be done to ensure staff and students work with the best tools with which to push the frontiers of training and research.
In his opening address, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Noah Yusuf, stated that the induction ceremony was an important event and contribution to the country’s medical sector.
He charged the newly qualified medical laboratory scientists to make the university proud whenever they may be by avoiding quackery and sharp practices, while urging them to take their oath as binding them to professional conduct.
