Nigerian Association of Woman in Sports (NAWIS) Kwara State Chapter has expressed gratitude to the Turaki of Ilorin Mallam Salihu Mustapha for assisting the association with a cash donation of one million Naira (₦1,000,000), to facilitate their participation in the just-concluded national congress in Lokoja the Kogi State capital.
Expressing the gratitude on behalf of the association was the chairperson, Mrs. Esan Adebola Sarah, in a press statement, signed by the Secretary-General, of the association, Dr., Rofiat Dauda-Olajide, and made available to Sobi FM, today.
Mrs. Ẹsan noted that the cash donation not only facilitated their participation in the congress but also enabled one of the members from Kwara State, Alhaja Hadiza Ahmed, to emerge as the 2nd National Vice President of NAWIS.
Esan said the association, cannot thank enough, the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Kwara Central, for his acts of benevolence and his overall involvement in Sports development at the grassroots.
The association also used the opportunity to express gratitude to Mallam Attahiru Ibrahim, the Special Adviser on Sports to the Kwara State Governor, for his moral and financial support towards the association in many of its activities.
The association, therefore, prays for Turaki to be successful in the forthcoming general election, through which he seeks to serve the good people of Kwara Central Senatorial District.
