The new Controller of Kwara State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Mr. Danmairomu Shuaib Ayodeji, has sought a collaborative relationship with Sobi FM to enhance the reportage of the Service’s programs and activities in the state.

This was revealed during a courtesy visit to the station today accompanied by a team of officials from the state command.

During the visit, Mr. Ayodeji emphasized the importance of media coverage in informing the public about the new correctional innovations being implemented to bring the Nigerian Correctional Service at par with its counterparts in developed countries.

He noted that these innovations need to be communicated effectively to demonstrate the true correctional nature of the Service.

“We have introduced several new initiatives aimed at improving our operations and aligning with global standards. It is crucial for the public to be aware of these changes, and media coverage is essential in achieving this goal,” said Mr. Ayodeji.

In response, the Supervisory Director of Sobi FM, Alhaji Kayode Mustapha, expressed the station’s commitment to supporting the Nigerian Correctional Service.

He noted that the request aligns with the vision and Corporate Content Direction (CCD) of Sobi FM, which has a history of collaborating with military, paramilitary, and other government agencies as part of its corporate social responsibility.

“Sobi FM has always been dedicated to promoting the activities of various government agencies. Your request fits perfectly with our mission, and we assure you of our full support in terms of media partnership,” Alhaji Mustapha stated.

He further assured Mr. Ayodeji that the station would continue to be a reliable partner for the Nigerian Correctional Service, helping to disseminate information about their activities and innovations to the wider public.
