The hand of law has finally caught up with one Jimoh Abdulfatai, and his colleagues, who allegedly flogged and molested one Afolabi Ayomide in a viral video.
According to the police report, Abdulfatai, accused Ayomide, his girl friend of cheating on him, despite Ayomide’s denial Abdulfatai instructed his friends Yakubu Mustapha, Afeez Ayomide, Samad Abdulraufu and Ojo Joseph who held her while he flogged her severally.
Discreet investigation revealed that Mustapha recorded the video actions of the incident and shared it on social media.
The Prosecutor, Yusuf Nasir, urged the court to remand the suspects, saying the offences they allegedly committed are not ordinarily bailable.
Counsel to the 4th suspect, Barrister Toyin Onoolapo, told our Judiciary Correspondent, Kayode Adeoti, that the matter is pathetic but he will continue pressing for his clients’ bail
Muhammed Ibrahim who presided over the matter, however, ordered the suspects’ remand in Correctional Service Centre till 1st of August this year.
