Residents of Ilorin particularly the Olorunsogo and Apalara axis has appealed to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, to urgently fix the road in the area which they say has caused untoward hardship and almost paralyzed the economic activities in the area.
Sobi FM visited some of the affected areas today, which includes Adewole, Warrah Oja, Asadam, Kulende, Sawmill among others reports that the people lamented that the deplorable condition of these roads have been causing avoidable accidents daily, and motorist spending hard earned money in fixing their vehicles.
A resident in Olorunsogo, Adeyeye Rilwan, who said the bad portion on the road in the area has caused accidents resulting in loss of lives and properties appealed to the state government to quickly fix the road.
Kayode Alonge, who also expressed sadness about the state of the road called on the state government to help expedite speedy action through which the road would be motorable again especially as we are entering the rainy season.
Two business men, Boniface and Chukwu Okafor who shared their experiences said the state of the road has paralyzed the economic activities of the area. In his own word Bashir Aduramigba lamented that the bad have been causing to spend additional expenses on his car on a monthly basis from the little income he is making.
