By Dare Akogun LThe Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has called on Muslims in Kwarans and Nigerian as a whole, saying deliberate efforts towards the nation’s unity is a must.
According to the statement “As I heartily congratulate my brothers and sisters in Islam across the country especially my fellow kwarans on this great occasion of Eidul-Adha, it is important to remind ourselves of the great lessons of the festive period so we can reflect and ponder on them and play our part as citizens of this country to move Nigeria forward.
“Nations of the world are battling with one problem or the other and it is not an exception for Nigeria, the most important thing is for us to come together, stick together, and unite together in defense of our sovereignty and the efforts of our heroes past.
The speaker who rejoiced with the state governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq and the Emir of Ilorin Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, the Emir of Gwanara, Dr. Abdullahi Idris Sabi, all traditional rulers and Kwarans as a whole, prayed to Almighty Allah to witness more sallah celebration.”
