The Director General for the PDP Gubernatorial Campaign Council in Kwara stste, Prof. Ali Ahmad, has insisted that the Waziri of Ilorin Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki will never disrespect the Emir of Ilorin’s stool for whatever reason.
Speaking with journalists shortly after a Sensitization program organized by the party for Polling Units Agents in Ilorin West Local Government the former Speaker of the state house of Assembly explained that the late Olusola Saraki never belittled the Emir, adding that his son, will never do such too.
He said those spreading such news have it in their plans to attack the Sheikh Alimi dynasty, if not they won’t be uttering such a statement.
According to him “I am here today to let people know that the PDP leaders, stakeholders, and our agents are fully ready for the elections. We heard about the lies they are spreading around trying to denigrate the Emir of Ilorin’s stool, but what they are peddling is highly ridiculous.
“It doesn’t make any sense because anyone that is alleged to do such an act against the Alimi dynasty, would have a traceable history linked to that.
“It must have been written that such a family harboured hatred against the Alimi dynasty in the past. And such a person would have been behaving suspiciously.
“The person alleged to have wanted to denigrate the stool of the Emir is no doubt a son of the soil. We are talking about the Waziri of Ilorin who was colourfully turbaned by the Emir. This is the son of Dr Olusola Saraki of the blessed memory,” he said.
Prof Ahmad who said Dr Bukola Saraki while at the helms of affairs in the state for 8 years and as Senate President such things never happened, wondered while such will happen now.
“How will a Waziri of Ilorin, the highest ranking officer disregard the Emir? He has not done it before and doesn’t have such a plan at all. We the Ilorites need to be extra careful, we should not drag our royal Fathers into politics of calumny. The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, discovered that they are long gone, so they are looking for a way to destroy everything they met.
“From the fallacy, they are peddling around, it shows that the present administration of Gov AbdulRazaq had the intention of doing such but could not perfect the plans during his first tenure, so he is working towards it if elected for a second term.
“I am therefore calling on the good people of Kwara State to be wary of these people. That is the agenda of the Kwara APC-led administration. This is how to know that they have it in their plans,” said.
