In continuation of his interventions towards the upliftment of the standard of health services accessible to the people the Senator representing Kwara Central, Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe has yet again facilitated medical equipment to Otte Comprehensive Health Center in, Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The gesture was said to be in complement of the senators interventions to deepen access to quality and affordable health care services and enhance the quality of life of the people of the Senatorial District.
The senator represented by his media aide, Bolaji Aladie, during the delivery of the items to the facility today, reiterated his commitment to initiating and facilitating interventions that guarantee equitable access to essential services.
He reiterated the importance of attaching maximum priority to the health needs of the people regardless of their socio-economic status.
According to him”Health represents a critical aspect of human existence, as such, we feel compelled as the representative of the people, to place consistent focus on the essential elements pivotal to the realization of the collective goals of elevating the quality of healthcare services.
“We consider this gesture compelling to sustainably repay the mandate given to us about four years ago as this remains the dividend of which can leave long-lasting impacts in the lives of the people.
“We, therefore, enjoin you to make judicious use of these items to aid effective services for the benefit of our people, they should be properly managed to stand the test of time.”
In her reaction, the matron of the facility, Mrs Ibrahim Nurat described the intervention as timely and unprecedented in the 39 years of existence of the facility.
She appreciated the Senator’s consistent efforts to bringing quality healthcare services closer to the people at the grassroots.
“We are heartily grateful for this remarkable intervention of no precedent in recent time. This again lends credence to the enduring desire of our Senator to reposition the health sector to the desired height that affords everyone accesses to quality and affordable healthcare services,” she said.
The Alangua of Otte-Oja, Alh. Yusuf Audu on behalf of the community lauded Oloriegbe’s intervention which he described as the best form of democracy dividends he could have given to them whilst praying to God to be with him in his future aspirations.
An indigene of the community who is also the Chairman of the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board, Prof. Sheu Adaramaja, in his reaction appreciates the efforts of the Senator, which he says will enhance the service delivery of the facility.
He described Senator Oloriegbe as a worthy representative that always rise to the needs of his people.
Ben Ajah, team lead, Pharmacist Council of Nigeria who came from Abuja to inspect the items also expressed satisfaction with the items delivered whilst commending the Senator for ensuring that the people at the grassroots are not left behind in his representation.
