…….Oloriegbe has raised the bar of legislative representation high for his successors – Asa TIC Chairman

In continuation of his pursuit at to elevating standard of healthcare delivery across Kwara Central Senatorial district, Senator, Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe has once again facilitated medical equipment to Ogele Primary Health Center, in, Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The intervention came against the backdrop of the growing demands for equitable access to quality health services and an attempt at reducing the challenges faced by rural dwellers in accessing basic health care services.

Speaking today at the delivery of the items to the facility, Sen Oloriegbe, represented by his media aide, Bolaji Aladie, said the intervention is in further fulfilment of his electoral promises to provide essential services to the people in a manner that strengthens inclusive growth and development.

He reiterated that his commitment to uplifting the collective wellness of the remained sacrosanct, despite the fact that he lost his bid to represent the district beyond 2023.

According to him, “We have chosen to stay committed to facilitating interventions that strengthen community-focused health initiatives to grease the skids for inclusive development that guarantees equitable access to essential services.

“This is consistent with our resolve to provide services grounded on equity and fairness with no vestige of discrimination.”

“Our enduring quest to improve the general wellness of the people will continue to be given maximum priority in further fulfilment of our electoral promises.

“We are determined in our resolve to depeen access to quality and affordable health care services to undo the social disparities that limit the ability of underprivileged sections of society to approach essential services.

“The need for medical equipment facilitation to this clinic became obvious to us sometime last year when we came here to organise medical outreaches for the people of Asa Local Government Area, and this we are fulfilling today.

“We, therefore, implore you to judiciously put these items to use for improved services and as well maintain them, so they can stand the test of time,” he said.

The Officer-in-Charge of the facility, Hajia Abdullahi Khadijat while receiving the equipments acknowledged that it would improve their service outputs to the communities patronising the clinic.

While appreciating the senator for remembering the health center in the distribution she assured that the equipment will be judiciously used.

In his remarks the Aare of Ogele, Alh. Abubakar Ishola Akanbi represented by Hon. Muhammad Mobolaji Amosa applauded the lawmaker for using his privileged position to better the lots of his constituents, particularly in the area of health interventions.

“The last three years of the Senator has changed the face of Senatorial representation in our district. He has indeed used the position he is heading in the senate to facilitate tremendous developments which we have never witnessed before his emergence.

“We pray to almighty Allah to give him better positions after his tenure.” He prayed.

Earlier in his address the Asa LGA TIC Chairman, Alh. Abdulganiy Atebise represented by Supervisory Councillor for Agric, Hon. Yusuf Weliweli, in his reaction, noted that Oloriegbe has raised the bar of legislative representation in Kwara Central so high that those coming behind him must ensure they meet up with him if they intend to have space in the book of good history.

“The book of good history won’t forget Sen. Oloriegbe’s name with how high he has raced the bar of legislative representation, this is a man that despite the that he lost in the shadow election keeps serving the people as if nothing happened.

“Those who are coming after him have a daunting task ahead of them if they wish to be remembered for good with that seat they are aspiring for.” He said.
