The confirmation which was contained in an email sent by the UNFCCC IBC Manager, Tim Davies today said, one Workstation has been reserved for SOBI FM at the Media Centre.

This will be the 27th United Nations Climate Change conference, and it will be held in the coastal town of Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

Climate change is a long-term shift in temperatures and weather patterns, that seems to affect the quality of the environment, in negative ways, such that it becomes a matter of grave concern to world leaders, who have tried to limit those human activities that contribute to it.

Some of the effects of climate change include excessive rainfall, resulting in over-flooding, as recently witnessed in Nigeria, or acute lack of rainfall (draught) in some parts of the world.

COP27, which gets underway on November 6, 2022 and hosts a World Leaders Summit on November 7 and 8, is expected to be among the largest gatherings of climate stakeholders ever hosted at a COP with over 30,000 delegates registered.

Sobi FM will be giving you live reports from in the coming days from, the venue of the conference.
