The Standard Organization of Nigeria, SON has approved 17 new products of Forgo Battery Company Limited, Kwara State, describing the company as best locally manufactured Battery maker in Nigeria that can compete both in Nigeria, African and the world at large.
The Director General of SON, Doctor Chukwunonso Okeke affirmed this while presenting the Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme, MANCAP certificate and approval of new 17 product for the company.
Chukwunonso, who was represented by the SON state Coordinator, Mr Ayeni Feyisayo explained that the purpose of the programme is to celebrate and appreciate the company that are doing well in order to expose them to the outside world for them to appreciate Nigerian products.
Also speaking, the Chief executive officer of Forgo Battery Company Limited Joseph Alex Offorjoma said the SON recognition shows their products, which include Forgo, Adamant and Solar Power batteries are of the quality standard in Nigeria.
The Managing Director of the company, Ibrahim Balogun assured that the company will continue to produce a product that will add value to the people, even though the people always demand for a very cheap product.
Speaking in his Goodwill message the representative of the Kwara State Automobile Electrician and Battery Charger, KWAEBA Bashir Olaiya said the association is satisfied with the product, saying there customers has never complained about the product both in Kwara and other states.
