The National President of Social Studies Association of Nigeria, Professor Abdulraheem Yusuf has identified leadership failure as the bain of Nigeria development.
The University don made the statement today at the 13th annual symposium of Standard Bearers Islamic Organization, Kwara State Chapter.
He explained that for Nigeria to be great again, it needs the purposeful leadership with fear of God and love of masses at heart.
According to him ” If this country is to be great again, we need purposeful leadership with fear of God and love of the people.
” Nigerian has suffered a lot in the hands of self centered political elites, but this coming election we can make right choices by voting for credible candidates,” he said.
Also speaking at the event, Doctor Amina Ahmed from Kwara state University, Malate in her speech praised the organiser for organising the event, saying that the programme is timely while advising Nigerian leaders to prioritize masses oriented programme.
Speaking earlier, the Coordinator of the group, Abdulafeez Adeagbo said the purpose of the programme is to educate and enlighten the Muslims on their roles as the general election draws nearer.
