In continuation of his pledge to make Christmas meritorious for people, candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, for the Ifelodun, Offa and Oyun Local Government Federal Constituency, Honourable Gbenga Oyekunle Power has extended gesture to some communities in Ifelodun local government area of the state.
Honourable Gbenga Power who extend his gratitude for the warm reception given to his entourage, assured the people of bringing meaningful projects for the development to the Three local government areas of the constituency if elected.
He assured the people of Omupo and Oro Ago district that if given the mandate he will do more than sharing of foodstuffs.
At Okedaba-orisumbare, Honourable Power described as worrisome the road leading to the community, while pledging to provide good roads and water for the people if his ambition becomes a reality.
He also promised to empower the women in the community via free interest loan to start business.
“My people in Okedaba-orisumbare, as my party indicates congratulatory logo, let’s work together to congratulate ourselves for meaningful development. I also promise the community to carry out meaningful projects, women empowerment is also paramount on our agenda,” he said.
An elder in the community, Baba Akolade, who expressed hope that Gbenga Power would be victorious in the forthcoming elections, also prayed for the community to share in the dividends of democracy if he is elected.
Some elders in Oro-Ago who expressed their gratitude for Honourable Gbenga Power’s kindness towards the community before deciding to go into politics, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, prayed his dreams would come to reality.
According to Mrs Magaret Ajilu, Honourable Gbenga Oyekunle Power has sowed enough seed into Oro-Ago, hence the time to reap rewards in terms of casting votes for him.
“Gbenga Power has done a lot for us, he has really helped majority of us with the little he has, the only thing he needs from us is our vote, just our thumb print and we promise not to fail him”.
Pastor Aina and Mr Abdulsalam Ibrahim recalled that during the COVID-19 pandemic, it was only Gbenga Power that remembered people of Oro-Ago with palliative, which went a long way to assist them, especially the aged and less privileged in the community.
“No one remember us, we were left to our situation, many of us who could not go to the farm suffered hunger until help came in the form of Gbenga Power, he sent us foodstuffs to last into weeks, that’s how many of us survived the pandemic,” she said.
Honourable Gbenga Power further extended his hand of giving to people of Ajegunle community, where he assured them of succor if given the opportunity.
