It was gathered that the incident occurred at about 10pm when a petroleum tanker was discharging fuel at MM filling station.
Our reporter who was at the scene reports that men of the Kwara State fire service had hectic time putting out the fire, but their quick response was applauded by residents of the area.
While the fire rages on some hoodlums took advantage of the chaos to loot the mini mart located inside the filling station, but were quickly curtailed by security agents.
Speaking with our reporter an eye witness who does it want his name in print said, the staffs were dispensing petroleum products to vehicle while the tanker was discharging fuel into the reservoir.
