In a call to foster economic and social development, Chief Abdulraheem Oladimeji, Founder of Al-Hikmah University and Asiwaju of Igbomina Land, urged communities in Kwara State to undertake self-help projects.

This plea was made during the inauguration of the Okeya-Ipo farm market in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Chief Oladimeji emphasized the transformative role of markets as catalysts for growth, development, and effective tools for poverty eradication.

He commended the Dynamic Peoples Club of Okeya-Ipo for initiating the Okeya-Ipo farm market project and made a generous financial contribution to support the construction of structures in the market.

In a welcome address, Alhaji Ismaila Bello, President of Dynamic Peoples Club, Okeya-Ipo, acknowledged the capital-intensive nature of the project but highlighted its significant investment potential for the community, its environs, and Kwara State as a whole.

He expressed gratitude to Governor AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq for his support and called for increased collaboration, especially regarding the deplorable state of the Ajase-Ipo Okeya-Ipo-Igbaja road.

The monarch of the town, Oba Saheed Giwa-Opadoye, offered prayers for the initiators of the farm market and extended appreciation to all individuals and organizations supporting the community financially and morally in realizing the project.
