The Senator representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly, Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe has extended felicitation to an Ilorin-born police chief, (CP) Babatunde Ishola Babaita on his elevation to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) describing the honour as a deserving laurel for excellent service delivery to the Nation.

The lawmaker in a congratulatory message made available to the press describes the new AIG as a disciplined and thoroughbred professional who has contributed massively to the peace and stability of the country as a member of the Nigerian Police Force.

He stated that Babaita with his new status has brought great recognition to not only his immediate family but the entirety of Ilorin Emirate people as he joins the growing list of the very few AIGs produced by the community thus far.

Oloriegbe whilst expressing his happiness over the latest feat recorded by the former Gombe State Commissioner of Police whom he describes as a childhood friend and brother through the respectable relationship between the Oloriegbe and the Babaita’s family, extends felicitations to the people of Ilorin Emirate and Emir of Ilorin as he prays to Allah to guide Babaita in the tasks ahead of him.
