The Senator representing Kwara Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Saliu Mustapha, has condemned the murder of the traditional ruler of Koro
HRH Oba Peter Olusegun Aremu-Cole in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara state.

Mustapha in a statement issued by his
Senior Legislative Aide Salman Salman described the incident as a violation of communal values.

Senator Mustapha while commending the swift response of the Kwara State Government, acknowledges Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazak’s emergency security meeting and the rapid mobilization of security forces. He underscores the commitment to safeguarding lives and property demonstrated by these actions.

He urged the security agencies, including local vigilantes, to intensify efforts in bringing the perpetrators to justice. He emphasizes the need for a strong message against violence and disregard for human life in Kwara state.

The Senator also called upon constituents in Kwara Central and all well-meaning individuals across the state to stand in solidarity with the government, security agencies, Ekiti Local Government Council, and the Koro community.
