…… gov Abdulrasaq condemns killing , charges security agencies to apprehend killers

Unidentified gunmen on Thursday night attacked the the palace of the Onikoro of Koro in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, resulting in the tragic death of the towns monarch Oba Peter Aremu.
The assailants also kidnapped the monarch’s wife and two others individual during the brazen attack.
It was gathered that the gunmen, whose motives remain unknown, stormed the palace, gestapo style fatally shot the monarch and In the midst of the chaos, abducted the queen and another person, leaving the community in a state of shock and grief.
Meanwhile the Kwara State Governor mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has condemned in strong term the tragic killing of the monarch.
The Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, in statement made available to newsmen, said the Governor described the incident as reckless, shocking, and abominable.
He called on security agencies to mobilize all available resources to track down the perpetrators, secure the release of the abducted individuals, and ensure that justice is served.
“We will certainly get the perpetrators and ensure that this is their last crime against humanity,” he said.
He extended his heartfelt condolences to the people of Koro, assuring them of the government’s unwavering support during this difficult time.
