The Governing Board/Board of Directors of National Telescope Newspaper has announced the confirmation of Mrs. Christie Doyin Atolagbe-Adekoya as the new Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief.
The decision was reached during the 3rd Board meeting convened on Sunday, May 5, 2024.
The announcement came via a statement signed by the Board Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Olusegun David.
Mrs Christie holds an impressive academic background, holding a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism, another in Public Relations, BA English/Linguistics and a Diploma in Law. She obtained her degrees from the International Institute of Journalism, University of Jos and Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
She is a Fellow, of the Fourth-Estate Professional Society (FPS), Nigeria alongside several awards and appointments.
With over four decades of experience in journalism and management, she brings a wealth of expertise to her new role, having served in various capacities in esteemed organizations, including the National Pilot Newspaper.
Mrs Christie will take over the mantle of leadership from Mrs Deborah Odekola who served as Acting Managing Director following the sack of former MD, Mr Femi Ajayi for lack of performance.

Mrs Odekola is redeployed to continue her role as the General Manager.
Similarly, the Board confirmed the appointment of Mr. Abraham Amah as News Editor, along with the appointment of Regional Editors for the South-East, Mr. Chukwuma Okoro, and the South-South, Mr Paulinus Nta.
